Who is Evan Schroedel?

Democrat Evan Schroedel is a native Montanan, military veteran, and railroad engineer for over 30 years.

Evan brings a wealth of practical experience and common-sense leadership to political office. Born and raised on a Montana farm and graduated from Simms High School in the Sun River Valley School District. He served four years in the military before returning to Montana to attend MSU Northern in Havre and the University of Montana in Missoula.

Evan spent the next 30 years with BNSF Railroad, retiring in 2020 as a railroad engineer. During his career, Evan served as Local Union President of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, acted as the union’s legislative representative, and led railway safety training programs for youth.

Evan is focused on fighting soaring property taxes, protecting access to public lands, and defending Montana’s way of life.
